Graeme Murty is in charge of Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, and former Celtic forward Charlie Nicholas seems to rate the Gers manager.
Murty has been in charge of the Rangers first team since October 2017 following the departure of Pedro Caixinha.
Caixinha lost his managerial job at the Gers following a run of poor results in the Scottish Premiership.
Murty is doing a wonderful job at Rangers at the moment, with the Gers now second in the Scottish Premiership table.
The Ibrox club have won their last four league matches, including back-to-back victories over Aberdeen.
Former Celtic forward Nicholas, who had two different spells at Celtic Park, has suggested that Murty could get offers from clubs in England for first-team manager’s jobs.
“Murty’s recent role at Rangers won’t have gone unnoticed down south,” Nicholas wrote in The Express.
“You can bet there will be a few chairmen watching this rookie’s performance under the most severe pressure at Rangers and taking note.
“Maybe a Championship club need a boss, even an assistant. Murty’s name will now be mentioned at boardroom level.”
The way Murty has handled himself so far at Rangers in the managerial role has been great, and one should not be really surprised if he gets offers.
Perhaps Rangers should hand Murty the first-team managerial role at Ibrox until the end of the season…
