Charlie Nicholas has his doubts over Scott Brown’s discipline.
Pundit Charlie Nicholas has told Sky Sports that, whilst many are excited about Scott Brown returning for Scotland, he has question marks about his discipline in tonight’s game against England.
Scotland make the short trip south this evening as they take on old rivals England at Wembley Stadium, with the pressure mounting on Scotland boss Gordon Strachan.
After a 1-1 home draw with Lithuania and a 3-0 defeat away at Slovakia during the last international break, Scotland are already desperate for a win to kickstart their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Strachan’s men are massive underdogs against England, and many think that the Scotland boss could lose his job if he fails to pick up a result – but his cause may have been aided by the return of Scott Brown.
The Celtic captain, 31, retired from international football back in August to focus on his club career, but came out of retirement last month to make himself available for tonight’s clash with England.

Brown has impressed under Brendan Rodgers this season, and many believe that he can take his domestic form onto the international stage this evening – but Charlie Nicholas isn’t quite so sure.
The former Celtic ace has picked Brown in his preferred Scotland XI, but also told Sky Sports that he has a ‘serious question mark’ beside the midfielder due to his disciplinary problems.

Nicholas stated that Brown should be experienced enough to handle the game, but is worried that Brown will become angry if things aren’t going Scotland’s way.
“Some seem to be excited about Scott Brown but I’m putting a serious question mark beside him because of his discipline,” said Nicholas. “He should be experienced enough to handle it now and there’s a lot of pressure on him, which I fear could turn to anger if it goes wrong,” he added.
