Speaking on the Where’s Jeff? Podcast, Charlie Nicholas has been speaking about the support Arsenal received at the weekend.

It’s no secret that Arsenal have had a poor start to the season, and at times like these, fanbases can quickly turn on their team and their manager.

However, Nicholas says that he noticed at the weekend that the fans were completely behind the team for the entire game, despite the fact the Gunners struggled to put on a dazzling display against the Canaries.

What’s been said?

Nicholas was speaking about Arsenal’s fans this weekend.

“I’ll tell you what was fascinating to me. I watched it back again after the match and the crowd stayed with the team for most of the day. The first half was average, sure, they didn’t create many chances. The crowd, under the last couple of managers went against them or against the board, but last weekend they stayed with the team strongly, it’s the strongest I’ve seen Arsenal supporters for a while,” Nicholas said.

Need the support

Arsenal are struggling on the pitch, and at the moment every point they can get matters.

The Gunners aren’t the best team in the league at the moment, and most of their games this season could be tight affairs, but if the fans get behind them they could pick up a few good results.

It’s the oldest cliché out there, but supporters really can be the 12th man when they’re in full voice, and Arsenal supporters are amongst the best in the country when they back their side.

Arsenal may be struggling, but the support from the stands could help them kick on this season.
