Charlie Nicholas believes Everton and Southampton should be aiming to sign Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Charlie Nicholas has told Sky Sports that Everton and Southampton should both be looking to sign Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko this summer.
Sissoko is one of the players who is tipped to leave St. James’ Park, following Newcastle’s relegation from the Premier League.

The attacking midfielder has previously suggested that he would like to play in the Champions League.
However, Nicholas believes that he would be better suited to playing for the likes of Everton and Southampton, over a top four side.
“I’ve always liked him but he doesn’t deliver enough,” Nicholas said.
“I’d like to see him at Arsenal but he’d need to put a shift in. He is powerful and quick and I never knew why Newcastle played him out wide. Clubs like Everton or Southampton should certainly be looking at him.”

Everton and Southampton both have funds to spend this summer, as they look to add talent to their squad.
Newcastle are under no pressure to sell Sissoko, as they are still in a strong financial position following their relegation.
The Magpies have promised Rafael Benitez that he does not have to sell any player that he doesn’t want to.
Newcastle’s Sissoko is likely to start for France against Portugal this evening in the final of Euro 2016.
