After a number of seasons of struggle, Moussa Sissoko has turned his career around at Tottenham Hotspur as he recently extended his stay at the club.

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has questioned Tottenham’s decision to hand Moussa Sissoko a new contract, but not be able to tie down the futures of Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.
France international Sissoko secured his future at the North London outfit recently when he signed a new three-year deal, as reported by Sky Sports.
Whilst Sissoko has committed his future to Spurs, there is still a cloud over the heads of a number of first-team stars, including playmaker Eriksen.
Speaking to Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News (28/09/2019 at 2:50 pm), Nicholas was trying to work out what Spurs are doing in regards to the future of the club.
“I don’t exactly know where they are going in terms of the structure of the club,” Nicholas told Soccer Saturday. “Danny Rose they were quite happy to let go, 29-years-old. Alderweireld, 30. Vertonghen, 32, running down their contracts.
“But they are happy to give Kane, Dele Alli, and Winks four or five-year contracts. Sissoko recently gets another three or four-year contract. Is it they are going for youth? And getting the right age and disregarding the older element to make it more valuable for them. Or are they trying to be too smart of certain individuals here?
“I don’t quite know how they can offer people like Sissoko new contracts, yet they can’t nail down Eriksen and the defenders because when you look back at their partnership, they have been as consistently as good as any Spurs player.”

Regardless of what happens with the likes of Eriksen, a player like Sissoko, who earns £80k-a-week at the club [Spotrac], more than deserves his new deal at Tottenham.
It has been a very up and down ride for the Frenchman, who struggled to prove his worth during the first half of his Spurs career, but since the start of the last campaign, he has become one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players.
Sissoko has turned his career around in a quite remarkable fashion which is a testament to his character, the fans backing and the constant belief and hard work from Spurs’ coaching staff.
