Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur will face Dean Smith’s Aston Villa today.

Tottenham will kick off their 2019-20 Premier League campaign with a match against Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a few hours’ time.
Spurs finished in the top four of the league table last season, while Villa clinched promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.
Former Arsenal forward Nicholas has backed manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side to pick up all three points from the encounter this evening.
Nicholas wrote on Skysports.com: “It has taken time for Tottenham to adjust to this stadium and it will take them time to break Villa down, perhaps the 70th to 75th minute. Spurs’ goals will come late on.”
A footnote added: “CHARLIE PREDICTS: 3-1”.

Meanwhile, Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has welcomed Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso to the North London outfit.
Spurs signed left-back Sessegnon from Championship club Fulham on transfer deadline day, while 23-year-old Argentina international midfielder Lo Celso has made the switch to Tottenham on loan from Spanish club Real Betis.
Sessegnon, who can also operate as a left winger, is one of the best and most promising young players in England, while Lo Celso will make the Spurs attack more potent.
