Liverpool will face Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Liverpool will travel to Andalusia in Spain to face Sevilla in the Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
The Reds have managed four wins on the trot and confidence is gradually developing within this team. Jurgen Klopp’s side are top of the Group E table with eight points, and a win or a draw at Sevilla will put them in a commanding position to qualify.
According to Sky Sports pundit, Charlie Nicholas, the current Sevilla side aren’t as good as what we have seen in recent years, but they are still capable of posing problems.
He adds that Liverpool would struggle in Spain, and predicts a 2-1 win for the La Liga outfit.
Nicholas says that he watched Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday, and felt that apart from Mohamed Salah’s brilliant effort, it was a subdued performance.
Liverpool have an exciting attacking unit but they are still very fragile at the back.
Also, it will be interesting to see how Klopp shapes up his team for this game, as he would like to rest his key players, keeping in mind the upcoming Chelsea clash in the Premier League.
“Well this is a big one for Liverpool. I covered them at the weekend and if it wasn’t for the Mohamed Salah opener it was pretty subdued,” said Nicholas to Sky Sports.
“You look at their forward line and it is a very exciting four, but they are still fragile at the back and I can see pain for Jurgen Klopp’s side here.
“Is he bold enough to pick that front four? This Sevilla side isn’t as good as we’ve seen in recent years but they’re still a decent side and this is a hostile place to go.
“I thought Liverpool would wipe the floor with them at home and they failed to do so and I’m expecting a struggle for them here, with Nolito, who is looking happier back in Spain, doing the damage.”
