Everton have signed Sandro Ramirez from Malaga this summer.

Charlie Nicholas has suggested to Sky Sports that he feels Sandro Ramirez may not be a prolific scorer at Everton.

Sandro was brought in from Malaga this summer, in a transfer which has been built up as one of the bargain buys of the transfer window.

However, Nicholas feels that the young Spaniard could struggle to find the back of the net frequently during his first season in English football.

“Sandro Ramirez is a grafter and somebody I’ve watched a fair bit. He isn’t maybe a prolific goalscorer and probably needs a strike partner, while he’s also untried at this level so they might need to bring somebody else,” Nicholas said.

Everton are thought to be on the look out for a striker before the new campaign, as they look to replace Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian powerhouse was the leading man in Everton’s attack last season, but he has left to join Manchester United this summer.

Sandro’s first showing to Everton fans in a competitive match was a positive one, as the former Barcelona man came off the substitutes’ bench to impress in the Europa League against Ružomberok.

Sandro could feature again tonight, when Everton take on the Slovakian side in the second leg of the qualifying match.
