New Burnley summer signing Chris Wood scored 27 goals for Elland Road club Leeds United in the Championship last season.

Wood has joined Premier League club Burnley from Championship side Leeds in the summer transfer window.
The New Zealand international striker scored as many as 27 goals in the Championship for the Whites last season.
The 25-year-old enjoyed arguably his best career in 2016-17, and one would say that he deserved the move to Burnley in the Premier League.

According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the Clarets had to pay Leeds a transfer fee of £15 million in order to secure the services of the former Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion striker.
Former Celtic and Arsenal forward Nicholas has backed Wood to score half a dozen goals in the Premier League for Burnley this season.

Nicholas said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports Football on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, August 26, 2017) when asked if Wood will score goals at the top level: “I do, yes. I think he will score goals the way they play. I really do. You are talking league goals, I think he could get a dozen. I think that would be a very, very good return.”
