Daniel Sturridge has been linked with moves away from Liverpool in the January transfer window.
Sturridge has been linked with moves away from Liverpool this month, with West Ham United and Newcastle United reported to be interested in the striker.
According to The Liverpool Echo, the Reds want £30 million as transfer fee to sell the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker.
ESPN has credited West Ham United with interest in the England international, who is reported to be on radar of Newcastle United by The Chronicle.
Former Arsenal forward Nicholas believes that Sturridge will leave Liverpool in the January transfer window, although the Sky Sports pundit believes that it will be a loan transfer.
Nicholas is quoted as saying by Sky Sports (Transfer Centre blog, 12:37, Saturday, January 13, 2018) about Sturridge: “It’s too much money for people take a chance. He’s lost a yard of pace. He’s not getting a run in the team.
“He’s fabulous when he’s playing well – as good as anyone in the Premier League – but we’ve not seen it regularly enough.
“I’d be amazed if he stays at Liverpool, he’s got to go and play. But it will probably be on loan because £30m is too much of a risk.”
Sturridge is a very good striker, but the Liverpool star is struggling for playing time at the moment.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are doing quite well without the 28-year-old, and it would make sense for the striker to try to find a club in the Premier League or in mainland Europe where he can get regular playing time.
