Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Germany to face Borussia Dotmund in the Champions League clash on Tuesday.

Spurs are top of Group H with 10 points, while Dortmund are third with only two points on board.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost 2-0 to Arsenal at the weekend, and many will want to see a strong reaction from Spurs.

However, according to Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas, that won’t be the case as the group is already settled, and Spurs just need to beat Apoel at home.

With Harry Kane not 100% fit, and some of the players looking jaded due to international commitment, Nicholas says that Pochettino should focus on getting the squad right rather than trying to force a response out from his side.

The Sky Sports pundit adds that the Argentine needs to sort out his defence. He feels Eric Dier should not be used in central defence as the England international gives the ball away too much.

Dortmund have been going through a frustrating season, and they will be looking to prove a point. Nicholas predicts a 2-1 win for the home side.

“At the weekend people were saying that Spurs will want to go and get a result here, but I’m not sure that’s the case. The group is already settled as they just need to beat Apoel at home,” said Nicholas to Sky Sports.

“So if I’m Mauricio Pochettino, with Harry Kane looking 75 per cent fit and Christian Eriksen surely tired, I’d be more concerned about getting the squad right rather than trying to force a response out of the team.

“He needs to make decisions at the back because for me Eric Dier isn’t a centre-back as he gives the ball away too much.

“I think Dortmund will be out to prove a point with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang coming back in looking to put himself back in the shop window following his exile at the weekend.”
