Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers have brought Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy, Jason Cummings and Russell Martin to Ibrox, and former Celtic forward Charlie Nicholas is impressed.

Rangers have been quite busy so far this month and have made a number of signings already.
Graeme Murty’s side have recruited Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy, Jason Cummings and Russell Martin on loan from Queens Park Rangers, Brighton and Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest and Norwich City respectively.
Former Celtic forward Nicholas has praised the signings that Rangers have made so far this season.
The former Arsenal and Scotland international, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has also suggested that the Ibrox club could finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Nicholas wrote in The Express: “I have been impressed with the business Graeme Murty has done in the transfer window. Sure, he has only brought in loan Rangers so far, but the signings have improved his squad.
“Russell Martin has bags of experience, Sean Goss is very talented but will take time to adapt, Jason Cummings will get goals and Jamie Murphy will add a new dimension to their attack and can play in a few positions up front.
“His January signings have increased Rangers’ chances of being second best in the Premiership. There is still time for Aberdeen and Hibs to do more business this month, but right now Murty’s men look strong to be best of the rest.”

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 40 points from 22 matches, just three points behind second-placed Aberdeen.
Murty’s side are unlikely to catch Old Firm rivals Celtic at the top of the league table this season, but the Gers can certainly clinch the runners-up spot.
Meanwhile, Rangers legend Derek Johnstone has praised new Ibrox signing Sean Goss, and wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “The other signing so far, Goss, caught the eye in the Florida Cup matches. He looks to be a lovely passer of the ball and a player with a bit of vision in the middle of the park.”
