Fernando Llorente is out of contract at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
According to The Sun, Llorente is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the season and will leave the North London outfit in the summer transfer window.
Former Arsenal forward Nicholas believes that the 34-year-old striker will leave due to his lack of playing time at Spurs and is not surprised at the latest report.
Nicholas said on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News on Sunday afternoon (12:50pm, May 12, 2019) when asked about speculation on Llorente: “No, it wouldn’t surprise me because I think he would probably think to himself, ’I deserve more game time’. He is not going to get that at Spurs.”
Leaving Tottenham Hotspur
Llorente has done well for Tottenham in recent weeks, but overall, the Spaniard has not been a huge success at the North London club.
Since his move from Swansea City in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £13 million, the former Juventus striker has been largely a squad player.
During the 2017-18 campaign, Llorente played just 227 minutes in the Premier League, while this season, the striker was in action on the pitch for the league for 685 minutes, according to WhoScored.
