Idrissa Gueye is playing well for Everton this season.
Nicholas has admitted that he would have sold Gueye in the January transfer window when he was linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
According to The Liverpool Echo, French giants PSG wanted to sign the 29-year-old in the January transfer window.
Nicholas said about Gueye on Sky Sports News on Saturday afternoon (12:34pm, May 4, 2019): “I will be honest. When it was suggested in January, I think it was PSG and a couple of others were rumoured to be interested in him, I thought I would sell him, but he has proved in the second half of the season that he probably is the one consistent performer more than anybody else.”

Gueye is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, and the Senegal international has shown that this season.
One of the reasons why the Toffees have done well in recent months is due to the form of the former Aston Villa star.
According to WhoScored, the 29-year-old has made 31 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Everton this season, providing two assists in the process.
Meanwhile, Everton manager Silva has said that he wants Gueye to stay at Goodison Park next season.
Silva told The Liverpool Echo about Gueye: “I hope we can keep him at our club, but for me it’s normal if other clubs have interest in him, because he’s having a fantastic season,” the manager remarked.
“About rumours, I don’t want to talk. I think it’s normal that some clubs might be looking at him because he’s doing very well.
“It’s my job to have this impact on our players, to see them developing to play better. “We must to everything to keep our best players.”
