David Luiz joined Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The former Arsenal star said that when the Gunners signed Luiz from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, he thought that the 32-year-old Brazil international was a bargain signing.
As reported by The Guardian, Arsenal paid London rivals Chelsea £8 million as transfer fee for the former Paris Saint-Germain star, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder.
Nicholas said about Luiz on Sky Sports News (1:16pm, September 21, 2019): “I thought £8m was not a bad piece of business, but I am starting to go, ‘Really, is this where we are? We are spending £8m to make it better, he is not making it any better’. It’s just a mess at the back.”
Disappointing start at Arsenal
Luiz has a lot of experience, and has won the Premier League and Ligue 1 among other major trophies.
The defender does make mistakes from time to time, and his performances for the Gunners so far this season have not been great.
Luiz struggled against Liverpool and made a costly error against Watford, and it is clear that the Brazilian needs to step up his game.
According to WhoScored, the 32-year-old has played for times in the Premier League and once in the Europa League for Arsenal so far this season.
