Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League giants Arsenal.
Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas is adamant that Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser ‘fits’ Arsenal and his ability on the ball means he can play for the club.
The Mirror recently claimed that the Gunners are planning to snap up the highly-rated 25-year-old in the summer, who has impressed manager Unai Emery.
Fraser has been an assist machine during this Premier League campaign, scoring six goals and supplying his teammates with 10 assists from his 32 matches [transfermarkt].
Speaking to Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News (06/04/2019 at 2:50 pm), Nicholas was in awe of what Fraser can do as he was in no doubt that he can play at the Emirates Stadium.
“I think with the manager that he has got and the club he is at, they are always prepared to say, ‘if the right offer comes in and we think it’s value, we won’t stand in your way if you’re going to a big club’,” Nicholas told Soccer Saturday.
“I think he [Fraser] is being honest enough to say I have got to this level. He’s comfortable on the ball, he could play at Arsenal because of that comfort with what he’s been taught with Eddie Howe tells you that he can play the Arsenal way.
“And you don’t often get enough of these players who have that little bit of ability to move their game on. He’s skilful, but he’s more comfortable passing it now then he was ever before. He would fit in for him.”
There is no doubt that Fraser would be making a big step up if he were to switch the Vitality Stadium for the Emirates Stadium next season.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal are playing Champions League football or Europa League football, but either way he would end up playing for a team in Europe.
Fraser came through the ranks at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen before he made a name for himself in the lower leagues of English football with Eddie Howe and Bournemouth.
But in recent seasons, his performances have improved drastically hence the interest in him from the bigger clubs in the league.
