Charlie Mulgrew left Celtic to join Blackburn Rovers in the summer transfer window.
Blackburn Rovers player Charlie Mulgrew has suggested to The Sunday Post that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has transformed James Forrest and Stuart Armstrong.
Forrest, who is 25 years of age and operates as a winger, has been on the books of Celtic his entire professional career so far.
Armstrong, who is 24 years of age and plays as a midfielder, joined the Bhoys from Dundee United in February 2015.
Mulgrew, who is a versatile footballer and is able to operate as a centre-back, left-back or central midfielder, left Scottish Premiership giants Celtic and joined Championship club Blackburn in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old has highlighted how Celtic manager Rodgers, who was appointed in his role in the summer of 2016, has transformed the game of Forrest and Armstrong.

“I’m still in touch with a few of the boys, and I’m particularly delighted to see James Forrest in such excellent form,” Mulgrew told The Sunday Post.
“He has great ability, but the previous manager never quite got the arm around him and that’s what James needed. Brendan Rodgers has identified that and worked with James. That’s what makes a good boss.
“It’s the same with Stuart Armstrong. I could see when he arrived at the club that he had talent. He trained well and has the potential to go far in the game. Again, with him, you put an arm around him and you see what you get in return.”

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 58 points from 20 matches.
The Hoops are 19 points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers and have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Blackburn are currently third from bottom in the Championship table with 24 points from 26 matches.
