Glasgow Rangers moved up to second in the Scottish Premiership table with an impressive win over the Dons.
Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Miller has admitted that he was shocked to see his old side beat Aberdeen at the weekend, but insisted that they can pull off a similar surprise in the next Old Firm game, the Daily Record reports.
Goals from Kenny Miller and Lee Hodson helped the Gers to a 2-1 win over the Dons at Ibrox to take them up to second in the Scottish Premiership table.

But after watching the Light Blues lose 2-0 away at Hearts in midweek, Miller explained that he did not expect Mark Warburton’s men to come away from their most recent fixture with the three points.
“Rangers struggled badly against Hearts and it really couldn’t get much worse for them. I feared for Rangers going into the Aberdeen game,” he said, as reported by the Record.

“I couldn’t see them beating Aberdeen. But they went out and shocked me.”
The victory will certainly provide Rangers with a boost going into the next clash with Celtic which comes at the end of the month. And after seeing the win over Derek McInnes’ men, Miller added that it would not be out of the question for his old team to bag another big win.
“Rangers are capable of shocking Celtic at Ibrox on Hogmanay with a full house behind them,” he added.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers with Rangers manager Mark Warburton
“Could Rangers beat Celtic – 100 per cent. On their day Rangers can play as well as anybody but it’s all about finding those consistency levels.”
While their next game will undoubtedly be a tough one, as they host Hearts at Ibrox, Warburton will surely be instructing his players to try and send a message to their Old Firm rivals in the games leading up to Hogmanay by confidently dispatching every team put in front of them.
