Bournemouth’s Joshua King celebrates scoring their second goal
Bournemouth striker Joshua King has recently found himself linked with a move away from the club – with Tottenham Hotspur in particular believed to be keen on a move for the player.
The Mirror reported that Spurs were keen on the player, who had an excellent 2017, with a fee of £15 million potentially enough to pry him away from the South Coast. The player himself was recently quoted by the Mirror as admitting a move to Spurs ‘intrigued’ him although insisted he is happy at Bournemouth.
Now one of his team-mates, and a former Tottenham player, has had his say on the matter. Charlie Daniels, who spent his boyhood years playing for Tottenham before leaving in 2009, told the Bournemouth Echo this week:
“There would be no surprise if some big names came fishing for him.
“But he knows how we play – and that suits him. We all hope he will be here next season and we would certainly like to think that will be the case.

“If anybody tries to buy him, he will cost a lot of money. He scored 16 Premier League goals last season and not many strikers had a better record than that.
“I hope anybody who wants him has a big bank account because they would need it.”
Spurs are keen on bringing in attacking reinforcements this summer after Vincent Janssen struggled to support Harry Kane in the way Mauricio Pochettino would have liked.

King sprung into life in 2017, scoring 12 goals in the Premier League this calendar year. Only Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku managed more.
The Norwegian, who was formerly a youth product at Manchester United, may not come cheap but he would be a player Spurs fans could get excited about.
