Charlie Bannister has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Aston Villa’s failure to win against Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

Villa’s indifferent form continued, as they played out a 2-2 draw with Hull at Villa Park in the Championship.

Former Villa prospect Bannister was following the match, and he does not seem to think that Dean Smith’s side will get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Villa’s performance against Hull was indeed disappointing, especially as the match was at home.

True, the Tigers are in good form at the moment and appear to be challenging for the Championship playoffs, but the Villans should have still taken all three points from the encounter.

The draw with Hull means that Villa are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 39 points from 28 matches, seven points behind Derby County, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.

Villa can still catch the top six, but for that to happen, they need to put together a run of positive results.
