Cardiff City defeated Bristol City 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Southampton striker Charlie Austin has taken to social networking site Twitter in order to praise Neil Warnock following Cardiff City’s 2-1 home victory over Championship rivals Bristol City.
Warnock has flirted with retirement from football management for some time, but the Cardiff City vacancy seemingly prompted him in to one last job as he looks to make an impact at the Welsh club.
The Bluebirds sacked manager Paul Trollope following a poor start to the season, and Wanrock’s first game in charge was against a high-flying Bristol City side while his Cardiff side sat in the bottom three.

On paper it appeared as though an away win was on the cards, yet Warnock is renowned for getting the most out of his players at Championship level and they raised their game against Lee Johnson’s men.
Taking to Twitter following Cardiff’s 2-1 win, Austin was not surprised to see Warnock’s side triumph.
The current Southampton striker briefly played under Warnock’s guidance at Queens Park Rangers, and his comment regarding the players enjoying themselves again will no doubt please the Cardiff fans.

The Welsh side have not had the best of times in recent seasons following their relegation from the Premier League, and at present a Championship exit via relegation appears more likely than a potential promotion.
However, under Warnock’s guidance the team will no doubt show more cohesion and limp performances in front of the Cardiff supporters at the Cardiff City Stadium will no longer be tolerated.
The Bluebirds’ win momentarily moves them out of the bottom three and up to 19th in the table.
