West Ham United have been woeful this season, and Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam agreed with Slaven Bilic’s recent disparaging comments.
Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam has leant credence to Slaven Bilic’s suggestion that his Hammers side have lacked intensity this season, by explaining how certain West Ham players were not at the level he expected they would be, as quoted by the Stoke Sentinel.
Adam also seemed to point the blame at Bilic, questioning why there has been a lack of intensity at West Ham, whilst suggesting that a possible explanation could be the type of training sessions laid on by the West Ham boss.

Bilic accused his players of not meeting the required standards of intensity both on match days and in training after their embarrassing 5-1 loss to Arsenal on Saturday.
Many West Ham fans agreed with the Croatian’s sentiments, with the likes of Dimitri Payet failing to reach the levels of last season that enabled them to finish in seventh position in the Premier League.
And Adam, whose Stoke side drew 1-1 with the Hammers at the Olympic Stadium last month, shared how he and his teammates were surprised by West Ham’s levels from both an intensity and quality perspective, as quoted by the Stoke Sentinel:

“The big players did [lacked intensity]. They weren’t at the level I thought they would be, the players they have been talking about all summer. The intensity comes from the coaching. If you put a good session on, the lads will enjoy it.”
The Hammers head to Anfield to take on Liverpool on Sunday, and with all the talk surrounding their lack of commitment to the cause, surely they will at the very least have to put in a performance that shows they care.
