Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam suggested on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5live on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, May 15, 2017) that Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the summer transfer window.

Zaha has revitalised his career in his second (permanent) spell at Palace after struggling to make an impact at Manchester United.

The 24-year-old winger has scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 34 Premier League appearances for the Eagles this season.

Former Rangers and Liverpool midfielder Adam, now at Stoke, has suggested that Tottenham will make a move for the Ivory Coast international winger in the summer transfer window.

“I think somebody like Tottenham may be come in for him, give them something different, but if Palace go and spend the way they can, and they know they can, then that might keep him,” said Adam about Zaha on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5live on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, May 15, 2017). “But there will be definite interest for him in the summer.”

Zaha is a good winger, and the former United player has shown that he can be a success in the Premier League.

However, it is hard to see the 24-year-old break into the Spurs starting lineup and play regularly.

While it would be tempting for Zaha to join Tottenham, he should be keep in mind the fact that he would have to fight hard for a place in the team.
