Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam has praised two Celtic stars after their win against Zenit.

Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam has singled out Celtic duo Callum McGregor and James Forrest as the best two players during the Hoops’ 1-0 win over Zenit St. Petersburg on Thursday night.
McGregor, 24, scored the all-important winner against Roberto Mancini’s men after an exquisite assist from January signing Charly Musonda, who came off the bench to have a huge impact.

The Hoops fielded a side that included under-fire defender Jozo Simunovic, £3million signing Kouassi Eboue and star striker Moussa Dembele and Brendan Rodgers’ tactics seemed to do the trick.
Adam described Celtic’s style of play on show at Paradise as “great football” before lauding the Celtic duo for their performances that gives the Hoops a big chance of qualifying for the last 16 of the Europa League.
The Hoops earned the win despite a number of injuries that sees the likes of Craig Gordon, Marvin Compper, Dedryck Boyata, Stuart Armstrong, Paddy Roberts and Leigh Griffiths all remain on the sidelines.
Rodgers will be hoping his side can take advantage of the 1-0 win next Thursday, as Celtic travel to Russia to face Zenit in the second leg.
But focus switches to Parkhead once again this weekend before their trip to Russia, as they welcome Tommy Wright’s St. Johnstone to Glasgow in the Scottish Premiership.
