Charlie Adam has stated on Twitter that Rangers have made a ‘huge investment’ in signing Ryan Kent as he is hoping that he can bring back the form he produced during the previous campaign.

Goalkeeper Andy Firth has also responded to Kent’s signing, as he stated on his personal Instagram that the winger is ‘ready to tear you apart’.

Kent was on-loan at Rangers from Liverpool last season as his performances impressed those at Ibrox – but in the summer he returned to his parent club.

A lot was spoken about whether he would make a return to Glasgow this summer, as the Gers left it to the ‘last-minute’ to announce on their official Twitter account that Kent had returned on a permanent basis.

Nonetheless, this was the reaction of former midfielder Adam and current player Firth, as posted on their personal social media accounts, as they were clearly pleased with the business Rangers had just concluded.

The news of Kent’s arrival is clearly a much-needed boost for the Gers because of the defeat they suffered against Celtic over the weekend.

The international break will provide Kent with ample time to get back to full fitness because he will want to prove his worth to the Gers supporters.

They are already aware of what he can produce on a regular basis as they will be hoping he can give them that extra bite they require to win a trophy.
