Charlie Adam has taken to Twitter to revel in Rangers’ win against Celtic at Ibrox at the weekend.

The former Liverpool midfielder, who is leaving Stoke City in the Championship in England this summer, was pleased to see Steven Gerrard’s side win 2-0 against Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday afternoon.

James Tavernier put the Gers in the lead after just two minutes, and Scott Arfield doubled the advantage on 63 minutes.

Adam, who started his professional club football career at Rangers and was on the books of the Gers from 2003 until 2009, was pleased to see his former club win against the Hoops.

Adam is set to become a free agent this summer, as the former Blackpool midfielder is leaving Stoke.

Back in November 2018, the Scotland international midfielder suggested that he was open to joining Rangers in January 2019, as quoted in The Daily Record.

The Scotsman is 33 years of age now, but perhaps Rangers manager Steven Gerrard should consider handing him a short-term contract.
