Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson’s performance on Wednesday impressed Charlie Adam and Peter Crouch.

Reading midfielder Charlie Adam has claimed on Twitter that Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson is the best left-back in the world.
Adam made the statement following Robertson’s performance against FC Salzburg at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday evening and in response to Peter Crouch’s post on Twitter.
Former Liverpool striker Crouch was impressed with the display produced by the 25-year-old left-back in the Reds’ win against FC Salzburg, and Adam – who left the Merseyside outfit for Stoke City in the summer of 2012 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £4 million when Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the Reds – has boldly claimed that Robertson is the best left-back on the planet.
Bold claim
Robertson has developed into a superb left-back, but Adam’s claim that he is the best in the position in the world is quite bold and can be argued against.
Real Madrid’s Marcelo Bielsa, Jordi Alba of Barcelona, Bayern Munich ace David Alaba and Alex Sandro of Juventus will probably argue that they are better than Robertson.
