Rangers sit eight points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table.

Charlie Adam has told TalkSPORT that he reckons Rangers can take advantage of Brendan Rodgers’ decision to leave Celtic, by getting themselves back into the title race.
Rodgers has opted to leave Celtic after two and a half years in the job, as well as two successive trebles. He has left the club on course for a treble treble, having won the League Cup earlier this season.
Despite stating that it was his “dream job”, Rodgers has chosen to move to Leicester despite having a contract at Celtic until the summer of 2021. Neil Lennon has since returned to the club until the end of the season to replace Rodgers.
Former Rangers midfielder Adam, who is currently turning out for Stoke City, reckons Rodgers’ exit could spark a revival from Rangers, stating the Teddy Bears will “smell blood”.
“Rangers will smell blood here. They’ll think, ‘Are the [Celtic] players focused? Is there a little bit of doubt in their minds?’ They might have an opportunity to get back into the title race and the Scottish Cup,” Adam said.
“They’ve got a massive game in March and anything can happen. At the moment, Celtic are eight points clear and they are clear favourites.”

Rangers are in action against Dundee on Wednesday night while Celtic travel to Tynecastle to take on Hearts. It will be Lennon’s first game in his second spell in charge, after leaving the club after four years as manager in 2014.
Steven Gerrard’s side are in impressive form, having picked up six wins from their last eight games – scoring 24 goals and conceding just three. They are expected to beat Jim McIntyre’s Dundee comfortably.
Rangers and Celtic go head to head for the third time this season in the Scottish Premiership on March 31, in what could prove to be an important fixture in the title race come the end of the season.
