Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard played with Stoke City’s Charlie Adam at Liverpool.

Adam started his professional club football career at Rangers, and was on the books of the Ibrox club from 2003 until 2009.
The Scotland international has suggested that he would be open to leaving Stoke in the Championship in England for Rangers in January.
The 32-year-old former Blackpool midfielder, who played with Rangers manager Gerrard at Liverpool during the 2011-12 season, has admitted that he may not get the chance to return to Ibrox in January due to the number of players that the Scottish Premiership club have.
Adam told Sky Sports about a potential move to Rangers: “If it was an option, there’s something there. It’s a wonderful club and I had great times there. It’s a big club, still as well.
“Obviously, Steven Gerrard’s there, and he seems to be enjoying it. You want to be part of something special. He has an aura and a presence.
“If there was an opportunity to go back then great. I think it might be difficult given the number of players that they have, but you never know in football.”

Rangers move in January?
Adam is a very good midfielder who will be an asset for Rangers, but the Gers are quite packed in the midfield department.
Moreover, it is hard to see Rangers spend a decent amount of money in transfer fees to sign a 32-year-old in the middle of the season, especially a player manager Gerrard does not actually need.
