One of Aston Villa or Derby County will join Sheffield United and Norwich City in the Premier League next season.

Charlie Adam has made it clear that Aston Villa will win the play-off final against Derby County and as a result, make a return to the Premier League.
Dean Smith’s side beat Midland rivals West Brom on penalties to reach their Wembley showdown with Frank Lampard’s side, who produced their own stunning comeback in their own respective semi-final clash.
Villa reached the play-off final last May, but they were beaten by Fulham, but Smith was not in charge of the club, at the time, and a number of new players have come into the squad.
Speaking to The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSport (21/05/2019 at 9:15 am), former Stoke City midfielder Adam explained why he is backing Villa.
On who will win the playoffs: “Villa,” Adam told TalkSport. “I think they have got momentum and Frank [Lampard] has done a great job at Derby.
“Put the experience of last season, being at Wembley and the players they have got on paper, I think I’d fancy Villa to do that.”

Playmaker Jack Grealish will play a big part in what happens to Villa at Wembley because if he performs then it’ll increase his team’s chances of winning.
But Derby also have their own fair share of talent with the likes of Harry Wilson and Mason Mount their standout players and a key threat to Villa’s defence.
Former Premier League player Adam is currently a free agent after he was released by Stoke City at the end of the season, as reported by BBC Sport.
