Leeds United left it late to secure a point against Burnley as Patrick Bamford hit an 86th-minute equaliser against the Clarets.
It was a gruelling match for Marcelo Bielsa’s side as the hosts largely dominated the match. Burnley took the lead through Chris Wood just past the hour mark, but some late pressure from Leeds resulted in the game ending in a draw.
With the transfer window ending next week, the performance should serve as a reminder for Bielsa that Leeds still some quality in the side if they are to build on from last season’s 10th place finish.
Indeed, drawing away to Burnley will be a poor result for Leeds fans. Yet the result could have been worse had Jamie Shackleton not been introduced just after the hosts took the lead.
The 21-year-old Leeds talent was key to the visitors rescuing a point against Burnley. The versatile youngster assisted Bamford’s equaliser just before the full-time whistle.
Indeed, it was a great impact appearance for Shackleton, who made just his third appearance of the season at Turf Moor this afternoon.

And on social media, the homegrown kid was heavily praised by Leeds fans for his short but important performance against Burnley.
Here’s what some supporters had to say about Shackleton’s display against the Premier League side on Twitter…
