Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to react after spotting what Jack Grealish and Phil Foden were wearing before Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-2 in the FA Cup Semi-Final.

What’s the story?

Well, gone are the days of the traditional pre-match suit before a big game at Wembley, as Manchester City adopted slightly different attire.

Grealish, Foden and the rest of Pep Guardiola’s squad were spotted at Wembley wearing jeans and a black Manchester City jumper, which Lineker decided to comment on.

You can see the BBC Match of the Day host’s tweet in full below.

Club suits really have died out, as Liverpool were seen arriving at Wembley wearing black jumpers of their own.

For the traditionalists reading this, you’re presumably not happy.

Nevertheless, the enthralling football on show distracted everybody from the questionable pre-match gear, as Liverpool raced into a 3-0 lead before half-time.

Liverpool have the edge over Manchester City

Forget the Semi-Final for a second – Liverpool’s impressive win over the Citizens will surely have an impact on the Premier League title race.

The way in which Jürgen Klopp’s men steamrolled Manchester City at Wembley will fill them with untold amounts of confidence, which they will take into their league games.

Psychology plays a huge role in football, and after today’s display, Liverpool have the edge over their title rivals in that department, to say the least.

It was a statement victory, and if Liverpool now go on to beat Manchester City to the title, we wouldn’t be at all surprised.
