Blackburn Rovers won against Newcastle United at Ewood Park in the Championship on Monday afternoon.
Blackburn Rovers manager Owen Coyle has told The Shields Gazette that Newcastle United will win the Championship this season.
Newcastle are second in the Championship table at the moment with 52 points from 25 matches.
The Magpies are two points behind leaders Brighton & Hove Albion, who have a game in hand.
Blackburn won against Newcastle at Ewood Park on Monday afternoon, Charlie Mulgrew with the only goal of the game in the 74th minute.
Rovers manager Coyle believes that Rafael Benitez’s side will win the Championship this season and get automatic promotion to the Premier League.
“We were playing against a quality side,” Coyle told The Shields Gazette. “I do believe they will be champions.
“You always have to accept that Newcastle are going to work your back line. We had to stand up and be counted.”
Newcastle have the strongest squad in the Championship and have some of the best players in the division.
The Magpies may be in second spot in the standings at the moment, but they should pick up form soon.
Benitez is one of the best managers in the world, and the Spaniard will fix the current problems in his squad.
One can also expect Newcastle to be active in the January transfer window and reinforce their squad for the second half of the season.
