Championship club Preston North End are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool talent Bobby Clark on loan in January, with the 17-year-old only moving to Anfield last year.

According to the Chronicle, the Deepdale side have been keeping tabs on Clark ever since the midfielder’s days at Newcastle United, with Preston now looking into signing the England youth international on loan in the January transfer window.

Already a senior Liverpool play having played in the Reds 9-0 thrashing against AFC Bournemouth earlier in the year as well as in the League Cup against Derby County, Clark is regarded by many as one of the most exciting talents coming through at Melwood since signing for the Premier League giants last year.

And ahead of the January window, loan interest is bound to emerge given just how impressive the youngster has been at youth level this season, with Clark also catching the eye of many this month in Liverpool’s mid-season friendlies out in Dubai.

Indeed, a loan spell could be ideal for Clark heading into the second half of the season, and given Preston’s decent record of developing Premier League talents, a move to Lancashire could be perfect for the Liverpool youngster in 2023.

After all, Clark is unlikely to play anymore senior football for Liverpool this season, and with Preston very interested in the teenage midfielder, the Lilywhites could be an ideal next step for the 17-year-old talent, who has show he is ready for the leap up to senior football.

Having already made his senior debut for Liverpool this season, Clark is ready for the next step in his young career, that being playing regular football at a top level, and signing for Preston on loan will more than provide that for the England youth international.

The Championship side have hosted numerous Premier League talents over the years to great success, and given how long Preston have been keeping tabs on Clark for, the second-tier club are more than suited to help nurture the Liverpool youngster.
