Leeds United may have real hope of signing Grady Diangana with West Bromwich Albion looking to sell him this week.

West Bromwich Albion are hoping to sell Grady Diangana this week amid interest from Championship rivals Leeds United.

That is according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, who claims that West Brom ‘hope to sell’ Diangana in the coming days.

West Brom allegedly want to bring in some cash before the transfer deadline and Diangana is a prime candidate to go.

Diangana hasn’t played at all this season and West Brom seem ready to flog the winger if they can find a buyer.

It’s stated that two clubs are taking a particular interest; Leeds United and Premier League side Burnley.

The Clarets seem to have a number of players who can play out wide and are now targeting a deal for Genk winger Mike Tresor.

The Belgian international may be ahead of Diangana on Burnley’s shortlist and that will give Leeds real hope of a deal.

Grady Diangana can bring trickery to Leeds United

It’s probably fair to say that Diangana hasn’t quite lived up to his potential in recent times.

The 25-year-old was outstanding during the 2019-20 season as he hit eight goals and six assists in 30 games on loan at West Brom from West Ham United.

The Baggies forked out a deal worth around £18million for Diangana that summer, although only £12million was paid up front.

West Ham fans were gutted at the time, believing that they were losing a huge talent by letting Diangana join West Brom permanently.

Praised as ‘dangerous’ by Paul Merson, Diangana seemed destined for stardom having dazzled fans and pundits alike with his flair and exceptional skills.

The end product hasn’t quite been there for Diangana since making his permanent move though, managing only seven goals and four assists in 92 appearances.

Maybe Diangana needs a move away from West Brom in order to have a fresh start and try to get back to his best.

If Diangana can bring the flair we know he can provide, Leeds may just have a star on their hands in their quest for promotion.
