Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim that Champions League side Napoli could make a u-turn and now complete the permanent signing of Tottenham ace Tanguy Ndombele – with the Serie A side boasting a £26m permanent clause.
Ndombele, 25, joined Napoli on a loan deal in the summer. It cost Napoli just £900,000, but a £26m clause was included. The chances of Napoli exercising that clause seemed unlikely. Now, Ndombele is beginning to turn the tide.
The France international has started his side’s last two Serie A games as he continues to regain his fitness. On Sunday, he made his longest-lasting appearance of the season – lasting 71 minutes in a 3-2 win over Bologna. Napoli are top.
