Tottenham beat Everton and Benfica on the way to winning the youth tournament, also drawing with Real Madrid.

The Tottenham Academy won the Champions Cup this weekend, a prestigious tournament for under-18 sides from across Europe.

The Cup was hosted at the club’s state of the art training centre, and home advantage certainly paid off as several youngsters impressed.

The club hammered fellow English side Everton 5-1 in the first game on Friday, an impressive feat considering how renowned the Toffees are at producing top talent, before holding Spanish giants Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw, only being denied a win by a last gasp equaliser.

It saw Spurs qualify for the final the next day against Benfica, and the Londoners could not be beaten, scoring a solitary goal to ensure the youth cup was won by the home side.

Below we list three of the top talents from Tottenham’s Under-18 side:

Kyle Walker-Peters – The right back was named best player at the youth tournament, and looks to be following in the footsteps of England defender (and namesake) Kyle Walker by providing a massive threat from his fullback position. Walker-Peters was a constant threat in all three games, setting up several goals with his work and crossing, not least sending the ball into the box for the winning strike against Benfica. The 17-year-old looks like one of the most promising of the club’s young players, and is also able to play at left back and on the wing.

Ryan Loft – A giant forward for his age group, it will be interesting to see how much Loft continues to grow, likely indicating the kind of player, and how successful he will ultimately be. Loft has a little of former Spurs graduate Peter Crouch about him, though is a more powerful player than the Stoke man, with an impressive ability to volley, as demonstrated by an effort disallowed against Everton. He did manage to score three goals though, two against the Toffees as well as the all-important winner in the final.

Shayon Harrison – A real star of the club’s youth groups, Harrison has long been rated amongst those that keep a close eye on the club. The striker boasts a superb goalscoring record at whatever age he has played, and linked up well with Loft in the club’s games at the Champions Cup, as well as scoring his own goals against Everton and Real Madrid.
