The West Bromwich Albion ace is wanted by Manchester City and Arsenal, but Liverpool should make a strong push for his signature in January.

The Reds have begun their 2017/18 campaign in mixed fashion, impressing with the potency of their attacking play, but disappointing with the fragility of their defensive displays.
Liverpool have already conceded 12 goals in seven Premier League outings thus far, and find themselves in seventh position in the table, a distant seven points adrfit of league leaders Manchester City and Manchester United.
And if Jurgen Klopp’s side are to mount a sustained challenge for major honours on all fronts this season, it will be vital that the German brings in some solid defensive reinforcements in January.

And a useful option for the Merseyside outfit could be Baggies centre-back Jonny Evans, who has been linked with Manchester City and Arsenal, according to the Independent.
The newspaper reports that West Brom will demand around £30 million for the Northern Irishman, and that would represent fantastic value in today’s market.
The 29-year-old is a natural leader, aerially strong and quick along the ground. He would undoubtedly help the Reds improve upon the solidarity of their defensive displays, and bringing him to Anfield is surely a no-brainer for Klopp.

The 65-capped international defender is highly experienced, and well versed in playing at a big club, after spending nine years with Manchester United.
Evans would slot seamlessly into the Liverpool back-line, and Klopp should not hesitate to bring him to Anfield in January.
