Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has said that he wants Ricky-Jade Jones to sign for Liverpool eventually.

Jones was linked with a move to Liverpool by Sky Sports this week, with the Reds said to be tracking the teenaged front-man.

And Liverpool supporter, MacAnthony, has now gone on record to suggest that he wants Jones to move to Anfield in future, although any move is unlikely to happen this summer.

Jones has made an impact at Peterborough this term, despite still only being 17-years-old.

The striker has been handed 16 appearances for Posh across all competitions, and he has notched four goals.

Jones has often been utilised as a substitute late on in games, with his pace ideal for stretching games in the final stages.

If Liverpool are to sign Jones it seems that they could face some fierce competition for his signature, as Sky claim that Manchester United are also keen on the League One forward.
