Cesc Fabregas says that he’s heard that reported Liverpool target Pedri is often battling with more experienced Barcelona stars in training.
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day Live, Fabregas gave great insight into the youngster who Liverpool are reportedly trying to sign.
Just two months ago, it was claimed in the Daily Mirror that Liverpool had made contact with Pedri’s representatives.
And Fabregas has now shed some light on what the Reds would be signing, if they did manage to complete a deal.
“I love the fact he’s playing [for Spain against Sweden]. Like Arsene Wenger said to me, age is just a number, if you are good enough you are ready to play,” he said.
“He has fantastic personality, he runs with the ball, he takes risks, he goes forward, he makes runs at pace and works hard for the team.
“When I speak to some of my friends at the club, they say that he sometimes gives something to the older players and he has a nasty side, like I used to have at 17! I like that.
“He takes people on and likes to move with the ball, it feels like he’s walking with water on the ball.”

Is a deal possible?
The problem for Liverpool is that Barcelona surely would fight to keep hold of the teenager, who is their prized prospect.
Pedri became Spain’s youngest ever player in the European Championships on Monday night, when they take on Sweden.
He does have a £70 million release clause in his contract, but Liverpool are unlikely to be able to afford that sort of fee, unless they offload a significant number of players.
If the Reds could land Pedri, then Fabregas’s words would just make a potential transfer seem more exciting, but it seems that Jurgen Klopp’s side still have a lot of work to do to make a move possible, despite making contact.
