Cesc Fabregas has claimed that Liverpool’s home ground of Anfield is the most hostile he has played at during his career.
The Spanish playmaker told AS Monaco’s Twitter account that the Anfield crown ‘push’ their own players ‘a lot’.
Fabregas played against Liverpool during his time at Arsenal and Chelsea but endured more success with the latter because he won the Premier League title under a character who certainly ignited fires when he roamed the Anfield touchline in Jose Mourinho.
Nonetheless, this is what Fabregas had to say about Liverpool’s home ground, which has a reputation for being at its most difficult for opposition teams during European nights.
“There are many in the world,” Fabregas told AS Monaco’s official Twitter account. “But probably Anfield. I think Anfield every time we played against Liverpool it was tough.
“Their fans, they push a lot. Push, push, push and they support their team and they make a big difference.”

- Premier League
2019/20
There’s no doubt that as the seasons have passed by under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have become even more dominant in front of their own supporters.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool’s current 60-game unbeaten run will come to an end this term, especially with no fans currently being allowed into stadiums.
That may just provide the visiting team with the chance to relax, play their more natural game and potentially end this dominant run they have been on.
