Cody Gakpo is a player in demand, with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United all keen on signing the Netherlands international winger from PSV.

Italian outlet CalcioMercato have reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Gakpo from PSV in the January transfer window due to the injury suffered by Gabriel Jesus that will see the Brazil international striker on the sidelines for at least three months.

The Times have reported that Manchester United are considering a move for Gakpo when the January window opens in January.

GiveMeSport reported in November that Tottenham could make a bid for Gakpo in January.

According to Voetbal International journalist Marco Timmer on Twitter, Liverpool and Manchester United plan to hold talks with the representatives of Gakpo after the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

PSV are a big club, but the Eredivisie outfit do tend to sell their best players.

And, in our view, if Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool or Manchester United make a big offer for the 23-year-old, then PSV could sell him.

The winger, who is also able to play as a centre-forward, has scored three goals at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and has helped the Netherlands reached the quarter-finals.

Gakpo has also scored nine goals and given 12 assists in the Eredivisie for PSV so far this season.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Cody Gakpo told to stay at PSV

World-famous darts player Michael van Gerwen is a PSV fan, and the Dutchman has made it clear that he wants Gakpo to stay at the club beyond the January transfer window and help them win the Eredivisie this season.

De Telegraaf quotes Van Gerwen as saying about Gakpo: “I hope he will stay for a while, our great friend, because that is certainly important in order to become champion.”
