Tim Sherwood has made it clear that Tottenham ‘certainly’ won’t finish in the top-four this season if Harry Kane leaves, as he told the Analysis Show.
The former Spurs boss shared that the Premier League’s top-four seems to be locked off by the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Spurs opened the new Premier League season by beating the champions, without star man Kane, who has been involved in a transfer saga all summer.
But despite all that drama, Nuno Espirito Santo still did the business on the opening weekend of the new season.
Sherwood stated that he hopes Spurs can claim those Champions League spots, but he questioned whether it can be done given the quality in front of them.
“There might be a surprise,” said Sherwood. “Brendan Rodgers and Leicester always spring a surprise.
“But you are looking at, not in any particular order, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United done already. Can anyone break into that?
“I hope Tottenham can. But I doubt it. Certainly, if Harry Kane leaves. And Leicester, you can never ever right off.”

With or without Kane, this Spurs squad needs refreshing and it seems as though, slowly but surely, changes are being made.
If Nuno can keep Kane on board then it makes his life earlier going forward.
But if he leaves then Spurs need to make sure they use the money they get from him wisely because that Gareth Bale money, all them years ago, wasn’t exactly spent in the best of manners.
