Neil Mellor is certain that Mohamed Salah’s current form for Liverpool isn’t a concern, but he will be a ‘big concern’ for Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The former Liverpool played added that the ‘hunger’ is still in Salah’s game, as questions and potential worries mount on Jurgen Klopp’s side so early on in the season.
Last week, the Reds were thrashed in Naples when they opened their Champions League account with a 4-1 defeat to Napoli, in what was one of the worst performances of the Klopp era.

The last time Liverpool were on the floor like this was when they were beaten by Manchester United at Old Trafford, before they proceeded to smash Bournemouth 9-0 in the Premier League.
Now, that’s not going to happen against the Dutch champions, but it will be interesting to see what the reaction will be like because it’s very much needed.
One man that can spearhead Liverpool to a strong performance and all three points is Salah, who should start in his usual wide right role, as Mellor shared his thoughts on the player ahead of tonight’s tie, as he told Sky Sports News.
“Mo Salah is one of the best strikers in world football,” said Mellor. “He still has that concern to score goals. The concern would be if he wasn’t fit.
“He is fit, he is hungry and he knows he hasn’t scored those goals. So, he will certainly be a big concern for Ajax because he will be desperate to get himself scoring again in the Champions League. And he has that hunger to do so.”

SALAH WILL RETURN TO HIS BEST
There is a reason why Salah is regarded as one of the best forwards in the world and he will showcase his magic again.
Just like any great player, he just needs to find that magic again and normal service will resume for the Egypt international.
Yes, there have been issues with his performances, but he’s not the only one because Liverpool have midfield problems and defensive frailties.
This is a team issue and if they want to march forward again, then everything needs to start ticking, or else these current worries will turn into even bigger issues down the line.
