Roy Keane has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:26pm, September 4, 2022) that Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United will finish above Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the Premier League table this season.

The Manchester United legend made the prediction following the Red Devils’ 3-1 win against Arsenal at Old Trafford in the league on Sunday.

The result means that United are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from six matches.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have lost their 100% record in the Premier League this season, but the North London club are still at the top of the league table with 15 points from six matches, a point ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

Roy Keane on Manchester United and Arsenal

Keane said when asked who will finish higher, Manchester United or Arsenal: “United. I think that United are certain for the top four.”

Long season

In our view, it is really close to call between who will finish higher in the Premier League table this season – Manchester United or Arsenal.

Manchester United started the season badly, but they are now in good form and are winning matches.

On the other hand, Arsenal started the new campaign on fire, but they suffered a loss at the hands of the Red Devils today – their first defeat of the campaign.

Things could change in the blink of an eye.
