Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given his take in Football.London about Spurs having their Premier League game this weekend postponed.

Tottenham were supposed to face Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League this weekend.

However, that game has now been postponed.

There is coronavirus outbreak at Tottenham.

So, the match could not be played.

Arsenal had coronavirus issues at their club early on in the season.

However, the Gunners’ Premier League game against Brentford went ahead.

Mikel Arteta on Spurs’ postponed game

Arteta told Football.London when asked to compare the two situations: “I think the decision has to be made to protect the players and the environment, for me this is the first thing.

“Afterwards we need to maintain certain criteria so the clubs that are competing can all compete in the same conditions. But for me the most important thing is health.”

Right decision

As we covered earlier here on HITC Sport, Arsenal fans are not happy that Tottenham had their game against Brighton postponed.

Now, in our opinion, it made sense for Spurs not to play against Brighton this weekend.

Coronavirus cased are rife in the UK, and it is important that we all are cautious and try to stop the spread of this disease.

We can understand why Arsenal would still be aggrieved, but, in our view, we have to move on.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are in the race for the Premier League top four this season.
