Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has predicted star striker and reported Arsenal and Newcastle target Gianluca Scamacca to move abroad this summer.
Speaking to GR Parlamento, the Serie A official has claimed that the 23-year-old attacker is likely to move abroad in the upcoming transfer window in part to the lack of finances floating around in the Italian top-flight.
Scamacca has been one of the breakout strikers in Europe this season and has caught the eye of many top clubs ahead of the summer, with the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig all linked with the Italian hitman according to FC Inter News.
With ten goals in 25 league appearances this season, Scamacca is developing into a top striker who is finding the net regularly in Serie A, and with Arsenal and Newcastle both looking for strikers this summer, the Italian could be an option in the off-season.
Moreover, per FC Inter News, Sassuolo will be open to selling Scamacca this summer for £33m, and according to the club’s CEO, teams like Arsenal and Newcastle could be the favourites to sign the Serie A star in the summer transfer window.
Carnevali said: “The offer is more likely to come from abroad. Today in Italy there are some economic difficulties: maybe there may be the will, the desire to take on a player, but then I think the most important offers can come from abroad.”
Sassuolo CEO update on Scamacca is big for Arsenal and Newcastle

Scamacca has exploded onto the scene this season, and following Sassuolo’s CEO’s latest comments, Arsenal and Newcastle now have a major boost in their chase to sign the Italian centre forward.
Indeed, Scamacca has the qualities to play in the Premier League and the potential to become a superstar in the division, and with a move away from Italy looking likely for the youngster, Arsenal and Newcastle have a huge chance of now landing the striker.
