Everton striker Cenk Tosun has been kept on the substitutes’ bench in Sam Allardyce’s side’s last two matches.

Tosun has initially struggled at Goodison Park, after arriving from Besiktas.
And Allardyce has now decided to protect the striker, taking him out of Everton’s team for their last two matches.
Tosun has been kept in reserve for Everton, but now seems like the perfect time to utilise him.

Everton look destined to finish in mid-table, and this season should now used as preparation for next term.
Given that Tosun is likely to have a major role to play at Goodison Park next season, throwing him in now could be a great learning curve.

Everton have picked Oumar Niasse to start up-front recently, and the Senegalese striker has hardly been on top form himself.
And there seems very little need for Allardyce to hold Tosun back. He should put the 26-year-old straight into Everton’s line-up and see whether he sinks or swims.
