Striker Cenk Tosun has opened up on his move to Everton.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun has told The Telegraph that he spoke to Sam Allardyce on the phone a number of times before making his move to Goodison Park.
The Toffees made headlines last week by signing Theo Walcott from Arsenal, becoming their second addition of the January transfer window.
Sam Allardyce’s first signing of the window was another attacker, as he swooped to land striker Cenk Tosun from Besiktas in a big-money deal earlier this month.

Tosun, 26, enjoyed a superb spell with Besiktas, hitting 50 goals in his first three seasons before notching 14 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
A Turkish international with eight goals in 25 caps for his country, Tosun has been brought in to boost Allardyce’s attacking options, hopefully filling the void left by Romelu Lukaku’s move to Manchester United over the summer.
So far, Tosun has started two Premier League games but has failed to score against Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion, and will ultimately be hoping to grab his first Everton goal sooner rather than later.

A host of Premier League clubs were linked with moves to sign Tosun, but it was Everton who won the race – and the man himself has discussed his move.
Tosun has told The Telegraph that Allardyce called him a number of times to tell him how much he liked his playing style, how much he wanted him and how much he believed in him, convincing him to make the move to Merseyside.
“Everton was the first who seriously wanted me and I wanted to come here,” said Tosun. “Not once, but a few times he (Allardyce) called me and said he liked my playing style, he wanted me, I could do well in his team and he believed in me. It was my biggest dream to play in the Premier League and I worked so hard to come here,” he added.
