Everton won against Lincoln City on Wednesday evening.

Cenk Tosun of Everton FC looks on during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Everton FC at Selhurst Park on August 10, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun has taken to Instagram to revel in his side’s win against Lincoln City on Wednesday evening.

The Toffees got the better of Lincoln 4-2 away from home in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Tosun did not start the match, but the Turkey international striker came on as a substitute in the 74th minute.

The 28-year-old did well during the time he was on the pitch, as the striker won the header to supply Alex Iwobi for the former Arsenal player’s goal.

Tosun has taken to Instagram to revel in the win and has thanked the Everton fans for their support to the team.

Stats

Tosun has struggled to make a huge impact at Everton since his move to the Merseyside outfit from Besiktas in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £27 million.

The striker was able to make only 10 starts and just 15 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Everton last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
